On the road to NSW and New Baby!!!

Monday 8 September
We said goodbye to Lightning Ridge and headed south east. We spent 2 nights at Burren Junction on a free camp site. The site boasted its own artesian bore swimming pool, hot water at about 42C. It was very windy so we just chilled out on this lovely site.

Lovely sunset

Our next move was on to a little place to stay, its name was very strange, Qurindi.
This town was of agricultural background with a railway link. We stayed on a small camp site for one night.

Our journey then took us through the upper Hunter Valley where there was lots of horse training stables, Emirates country park was very impressive, the countryside was beautiful, it is an area that we had not visited.
Cessnock in the Hunter Valley is a superb little town, we rolled up to the showground and stayed for 4 nights.....Early in the next morning we heard the sound of horses running they were being trained for trotting on the course behind the caravans.

We decided to visit the nearest Barbeques Galore store and a computer store.. Google research done and we travelled about 40km to the nearest shopping mall to try and spend money! A few hours later we returned to Cessnock with our new Ziegler and Brown BBQ and a Laptop!!

Not really much to say as Richard wasn't feeling too well.. A heavy cold.
We were desperate to see our new Grandson, Toby Robert, so hitched up the caravan and pointed the nose toward Sydney. To be continued!!!
